Our
nature center includes an interpretive center building, picnic
area, and scenic walking trails and is available for family
reunions, office parties, birthday parties and educational
programs.The easily traveled hiking trails combined with the
natural features of a cave and wildlife habitat pond allow
many opportunities to pursue ecological studies. Come and
enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings while taking
a trip along the Sante Fe Trail.

The Young Pioneers
This new youth program is off to a great
start. Cave Spring Historic Site and Nature Center is pleased
to welcome the pilot group! Patrick Balagna, Adam and Alex
Bobadilla, Nick Dowell, Ian, Emma and Henry Franklin, Danny
Hatem, Atlanta Hubbard, Brie Hussey, Nathan Lantz-Simmons,
Jesse McGraw, Daniel Munday, Nick Schwab, and Cody True. The
group will meet one Saturday a month for very special programs
that focus on pioneer and Native American skills. This is
a great opportunity to get involved. The board is looking
for individuals and/or businesses that would be interested
in helping to underwrite this special program. If you are
interested in donating to the Young Pioneers, please call
816/358-2283.
