Our mission is to provide education concerning the stewardship of the natural environment and cultural history of the Kansas City area.
We accomplish this by providing the following educational opportunities for groups of 10 or more. We specialize in School & Day Care Groups, Girl Scouts, & Boy Scouts.

Planning a Field Trip:

• Recommended student to adult ratio is 5:1. Required ratio is 10:1. No additional charge for adults.
• Payment must be included with registration form. Registrations are only accepted with payment.
• The center, picnic shelter, and one trail are wheelchair accessible. Programs can be tailored for students with special needs.
• The picnic shelter is available 1/2 hour before or after your program at no charge. Be sure to reserve it when scheduling a program.

• Cancellation/Inclement Weather Policy: Due to the nature of our scheduling we do not offer refunds for cancellations.
                  

•   Scout Overnight Program Guidelines The program requires a service project, a $25.00 registration fee and a "cleaning deposit" of $75.00. Any cleaning beyond normal maintenance after your overnight will result in the forfeiture of your "cleaning deposit". Groups must register at least one month in advance. All regular site rules are to be observed. A campfire may be built in the fixed pit in the camp area. The campfire will not be left unattended under any circumstances. The front gate will not be locked (only latched) to facilitate emergencies requiring someone to access or leave the site. No children are allowed in the Center without an adult. Violation of any of the above listed policies can result in your group being asked to leave. Such action may result in the forfeiture of your cleaning deposit. Registration fees are nonrefundable
